Check out our new home in Dominica! Carson and I will be living in Apt. #9 of the Green Homes Apartment complex on the Banana Trail. Yep, that's our street name. It is on the top floor and I can see the ocean while I am washing the dishes. How awesome is that?! Isn't the color beautiful! :)Monday, April 28, 2008

Off to Dominica!
Carson left Thursday and drove to Atlanta to pick up his friend, Vineet. Together, in a white mini-van, they drove to Miami. They arrived in Miami and went to Tropical Shipping where they packed and shipped their barrels to Dominica.

After packing all their belongings and shipping them to Dominica, Carson and Vineet flew to Puerto Rico where they had a 14 hour lay over. They checked into a hotel and visited the beach. Although the country is beautiful, the beach and the hotel were pretty dirty.

Carson arrives in Dominica tonight. Hopefully I will have more pictures of Dominica tomorrow.
Carson began his long journey toward becoming a physician in October. He left for 4 months in Miami to complete the MERP program. At first we looked at this as one more hurdle to jump toward our dream of Carson becoming a doctor. But now we know it was a true blessing. Carson learned during this time what to expect in medical school and also made some amazing friends. God truly does work in mysterious ways!
I want to thank everyone for all the thoughts and prayers over the last year. It has meant so much to us and has made this transition much easier.
My 1st 1/2 Marathon
I wouldn't say I ran the race to win it, nor did I have a "goal" time. I ran the race to just do it and mark it of my list of "Things To Do". I finshed the race with a 2:20. I was relatively pleased with my time. You gotta start some where, right?!. The Country Music 1/2 marathon was so much fun and I know I will run many more 1/2 marathons in the future.
I want to thank the Kaesers and the Cores for being there to cheer me on!
Here is a picture of me at the end of the race with my two amazing sisters-in-law, Caroline and Ashley.
